The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Wonju DB - Goyang 91-96 No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Goyang (22-22) beat on the road 8th ranked Wonju DB (17-25) 96-91 on Tuesday. Goyang made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Wonju DB outrebounded Goyang 35-23 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. The former international Lee Jung-Hyun (190-1999) accounted for 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. The former international center Jongkyu Kim (207-1991) came up with 21 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) added 20 points and 10 assists respectively for Wonju DB in the defeat. Four Wonju DB players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Goyang maintains fifth place with 22-22 record. Loser Wonju DB keeps the eighth position with 25 games lost. Goyang will meet Suwon KT (#7) in the next round. Wonju DB will play against Mobis Phoebus and hope to secure a win. Seoul Knights managed to secure only three-point victory 94-91. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international guard Sunh-Yung Kim (187-1988) helped adding 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Hungarian-American power forward Jarrod Jones (207-1990, college: Ball St.) responded with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Yoongi Ha (203-1999) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains third place with 28-19 record having five points less than leader Anyang. Suwon KT at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 26 games lost. They share it with KCC Egis. Seoul Knights will play against league's leader Anyang at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Suwon KT will play against Goyang (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals. LG Sakers dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to KCC Egis' 42. They outrebounded KCC Egis 41-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Guard Chang-Young Jung (192-1988) came up with 11 points and American-Ivorian power forward Deon Thompson (204-1988, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for KCC Egis in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. LG Sakers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 31-15 record having just three points less than leader Anyang. Loser KCC Egis keep the sixth position with 26 games lost. They share it with Suwon KT. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) who led the winners and scored 21 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four KoGas players scored in double figures. Visitors were edged by Seoul Thunders 82-79. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Seoul Thunders had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Anthony Morse (206-1994, college: Tenn Tech, agency: SLN) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-1989) contributed with 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Seoul Thunders players scored in double figures. American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-1986, college: GMU) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Filipino Rhenz Abando (188-1998) added 28 points in the effort for Anyang. Seoul Thunders maintains tenth place with 13-33 record. Anyang at the other side still keeps top position with 12 games lost.
